Memorable Games
What's the last game you played that really blows you away?
I probably say Final Fantasy VII. Interestingly I totally forget what it was like and what it felt like to play it. But it was the one that made me started to play RPG.
Then Suikoden.. Collection of 180 heroes, cooking competition, building castle..
Last one is Final Fantasy X. Gorgeous graphic. Amazing heart-throbing story. Strong characters. Great new fighting system.
Kingdom Hearts. Simply loveable :)
Come on. Your comrades are the funniest characters in cartoon history. Then befriend with Disney's heroes and kick the baddies' ass together. What else do you want?

All four of those games are on my "great game" list, so to speak, though Suikoden holds this dear place in my heart as the first game I ever stayed up all night to play. I think I played it literally for 15 hours straight, with short breaks for food and nature calls. Of course, that was back in college, when I actually had that kind of free time. *nostalgic sigh* The scene you get when you have all 108 Stars at the end made me cry (<3 Gremio).
Suiko II probably ranks up there as one of the more moving games for me; I felt SO bad for Jowy.. I used to get into these arguments with a friend about how he wasn't evil, just misunderstood, and it really bothered me that they thought he was evil. Kinda sad really. Jowy is one of those character types that I love though.
I've enjoyed most of the Final Fantasy games I've played, though the ending of FFX just about killed me. SO sad. FFVII had that quality too - I again had a hard time not relating to the main villian (hard to resist a guy with a theme song like his ;) ). FFVIII is probably my favorite of them all, though. I'm a sucker for romance and sullen, uncommunicative boys.
Most recently..hm. I don't think I've played a game that genuinely moved me in a long time. Maybe I've missed the good ones, maybe I've been too caught up in MMOs (my husband's fault, really!). I guess I'm more likely to look for this quality in a good book these days, rather than a game. A book that fails to engage only puts me back $6 or $7, but a game that fails is a lot more wasted money. Kind of a shame, really; I know there have to be good games out there, I'm just hesitant to try them.
Anyway, I have this nasty tendency to babble, so I'll wrap up here.
Wow, I rarely found someone play Suikoden series. They're somewhat subtle titles. I'm glad you found them as great as I did ^^
Somehow I didn't think that high of FFVIII though. Although of course compared to the other "lowly" games, it's still so UP there =)
I love reading books too. I wonder what's the percentage of people that like both reading book and playing game. I don't think it'd be a high number.
oh i love 1st and 2nd suikoden. they are the best of all... the worst is the latest series (4th), the story really sux ><;
anyway it's not 180 characters, but only 108 ^^
